The Palace space is now closed.

The Palace Exhibition space is now closed. There are two people who didn't collect their work from this venue - your work is now over at Mooch1 along with your other piece/s. The shop times are 9,30am - 4.30pm. If you have any problems please let me know (ann.lc@sky.com).

Also, there are still some Artists due to collect from their exhibition venue, Mooch1 - hopefully by the end of today. Again if you have any difficulties, please let me know. Thanks.

The Palace - some highlights from the Exhibition

Inside The Palace Exhibition Space

The photographs above do not do the exhibition or the space any justice. For those who have already been, you have experienced how unique and special this room and the building are and we are honoured and privileged to be it's temporary occupants, blending with all it's history, heritage, traditions, character and it's dramatic quirkiness.

Mooch - some highlights from the Exhibition...

Mooch Pop-Up Exhibition Space (and interior displays)

A juxtaposition in venue to The Palace - crisp and bright - encapsulating everything 'modern'.

Sales so far...

The following Artists have sold some of their work:

Simon Ray
Maria Bertolone
Sue McAuley
Ann Charlesworth (aka me)

Also cards are selling well.

Visitor Information

Come and view the large, unique and diverse Art Exhibition from local artists in the dramatic setting of the Masonic room at The Palace, Garden Street (near JR Taylor's). 11am - 3pm everyday until the end of the festival. Across the road the Exhibition continues in the lovely Mooch1. Some work is displayed within the shop, with an additional pop up gallery at the back. Visitors can also vote for their favourite piece of work (and the Artist will receive a small prize). With the huge variety of artwork on display from so many talented artists, it really is worth a visit - possibly followed by a cup of coffee in the cafe? Mooch1 is open Monday - Saturday 9.30am - 4.30pm. The festival finishes on Sunday 26th July.

Updated Invigilation Rota

Festival Programme

Wednesday 15 July 2015

Thank You

Thank you to all the artists (or relatives/friends of the artists) for dropping their work in today - some old friends, some new acquaintances. This is what it is all about - bringing artists together, to show art, to talk about art and to inspire each other.
Unfortunately, there were a number of registered and confirmed artists who didn't make it to drop-off today - if they still wish to be involved could they contact me asap - thanks.

Invigilation Rota - so far..

This is the invigilation rota so far - please can artists contact me to fill a slot or two if possible?
(I still have to co-ordinate with Barbara, so hopefully she has had better luck).
Thank you to Sue for offering her services without hesitation.
Community events rely on volunteers - but this helps build a better art community and form lasting friendships and connections...and therefore opens up other opportunities.

(You can even bring a friend if that makes it any easier!)
Thank you in advance.
(update - thank you also to Claire and Mira)
